SKYE NIXON

Qualifications

Skye is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. She practices in all manner of defence law in New South Wales Courts.   Skye is a member of the New South Wales Law Society as well as a member of Legal Aid NSW Private Lawyer panel, and NSW Law Society Pro Bono Scheme. 

Experience

Prior to establishing Fidens Lawyers, Skye practiced exclusively in criminal and traffic law at a top-tier law firm.  She has built a reputation for being a fiercely loyal advocate, guaranteed to take an unrelenting approach in defence of her clients.   


Skye grew up in Newcastle and is the first person in her family to attain a university degree. She is all too familiar with the chain of cause and effect of the criminal justice system that extends beyond the offender. This experience affords her a unique ability to support not just her clients, but also her client’s loved ones in navigating their way through the justice system with patience and compassion, and without judgment. 


Skye has a background in quality, compliance and risk management affording her a skill-set which provides for client-focused, efficient, and quality driven results. 


Academically, Skye is continuing her studies toward a Masters degree in Forensic Mental Health.
